Final Results
SAN ANGELO – The No. 5 Tarleton TexAnn golf team finished second in the Angelo State Make-Up Event in San Angelo with a 614, six strokes behind winner and host Angelo State (608).
The TexAnns trailed by just three strokes after day one, but the Rambelles pulled away and shot a 308 on Tuesday to compliment their 300. Tarleton shot a 303 on Monday and a 311 on Tuesday.
Carla Cooper finishe second overall with a 148 (71-77) while
Melanie Tham was fourth with a 152 (74-78).
Katy Ward tied for 10th with a 156 (77-79),
Jacqueline Lau finished 15th with a 159 (81-78) and
Andrea Lowe finish 16th with a 161 (83-78).
Candace Brister played as an individual medalist and tied for 10th with a 156 (78-78) while
Chrissie Cooper finished tied for 18th as a medalist with a 163 (80-83).
St. Edwards finished third as a team with a 626 (319-307), West Texas A&M was fourth with a 639 (320-319), Western Texas College was fifth with a 655 (332-323), Incarnate Word was sixth with a 678 (335-343) and Northwood was seventh with a 687 (358-329).
This was the final tournament of the fall semester for the TexAnns. Tarleton won two tournaments, finished second in one and sixth in another. Overall, the team's record for this season against opponents is 47-6.
