RICHARDSON - Tarleton's Garrett Thomas was named this week's Lone Star Conference Men's Track Athlete of the week according to a release from the league office on Thursday.

Thomas set an NCAA Division II qualifying time of 14.33 while winning the men's 110m hurdles at the Tarleton Relays in Stephenville last week. Thomas' nearest competitor finished 1.21 seconds behind him. His time of 14.33 currently ranks as the fastest time in the LSC.

Thomas and the rest of the Tarleton Track & Field teams will return to action this weekend at the Baylor/Dr. Pepper Invitational in Waco.
