SAN ANTONIO – The Tarleton Track & Field teams will travel to San Antonio on Thursday, May 13, to compete in the final regular-season event of the season at the Incarnate Word Last Chance Meet.

Tarleton athletes yet to provisionally or automatically qualify for the national meet in Charlotte, N. C., in a few weeks, will get one more chance to do so.

Tarleton currently has nine different athletes that have provisional times/marks and one athlete with an automatic mark. In all, the 10 athletes have qualified in nine different events.

Thursday's meet is scheduled to get underway at noon, beginning with the long jump, shot put and javelin throw. The triple jump and high jump is slated to begin at 2:15 p.m. with the discus set to start at 3:30 p.m. The shot put, javelin throw and discus will all take place at Trinity University, just a cross the highway from UIW.

All running events will take place at Tom Benson Track Stadium on the UIW campus and are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. A full list of the events and start times can be found by clicking the link above.
