STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton head baseball coach Bryan Conger announced that 12 Texan baseball players were named "distinguished students" following last spring's semester.
To be named a distinguished student, players must earn a 3.25 or higher for the semester. The 12 players earning the honor were Junnior Dishmey, Zane Hensley, Taylor James, Mark Jeffery, Nathan Lewis, Landon McCall, Colt Molloy, Chris Patton, Chris Pearson, Tim Rainey, Miguel Ramirez and Kenneth Stockton.
“We are very proud of these young men and the effort they maintained in the classroom during a very busy spring season," Conger said. "They did a great job in representing what Tarleton student-athletes are all about.”
The Texan Baseball program has now had 42 players become distinguished students since Conger took over the program in the fall of 2008.
