SAN ANTONIO – The Tarleton men's and women's track and field teams competed at the UIW Invitational in San Antonio Saturday and kicked off the season with a worthy performance.

“It's a start,” said Ponder. “We finally got to see just where our fitness level is and what the work will need to be to get better. I am excited about the future of this team this year. It is a short week, but we are excited about hosting the TSU Invitational on Thursday. I know our teams will be ready to compete to the highest level at our first of two home meets. Please come out and support the TSU thinclads on Thursday.”
