Texan Cross Country ranked No. 9 in South Central Region

Miles Joslin and the Texans are ranked No. 9 in the South Central region in the latest USTFCCCA poll.

NEW ORELANS, LA. – The Tarleton men's cross country has cracked the latest regional poll by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association heading in to the Lone Star Conference Championship meet.

The Texans have been chosen No. 9 in the South Central Region as one of four LSC schools to crack the polls. Tarleton began the season as the No. 10 team in the region, but fell out of the polls in previous weeks.

In the regular season finale, Tarleton won the ASU Blue and Gold – led by sophomore Chase Rathke and freshman Dylan Willet– for its first team win of the season. In the ASU meet, Rathke and Willet finished first and second while James Polasek and Miles Joslin cracked the top 10 with a sixth and seventh place finish, respectively.

The Texans, as well as the TexAnns, will travel to Lawton, Okla. this weekend for the LSC Championship meet beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
