Texan baseball enters national rankings at No. 30

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The Tarleton baseball team broke into the Collegiate Baseball Division II national rankings at No. 30 this week.

The Texans were 4-1 entering the week with a big win over then No. 27 Incarnate Word at the UTPB Classic.  Weather has limited the amount of games Tarleton has had recently, but a tough loss to No. 11 St. Mary's is their most recent contest Tuesday.

West Florida jumped to No.1 this week and is 9-1 on the year.  Tampa, Central Missouri, Columbus State and Grand Valley St. round out the top five.  Angelo State is No. 24 this week and is the only other Lone Star Conference team in the standings.

The Texans will head down to Magnolia, Ark. to face Southern Arkansas for a four-game series this weekend, starting Friday.  The Muleriders received national votes this week.
