- Round 1 Results

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - The Tarleton women's golf team finished the first round of the Grand Canyon Invitational in third place, trailing only host No. 11 Grand Canyon and No. 15 Sonoma State.

The No. 4 TexAnns shot a 312 on the day, which is just six strokes behind the leaders and one stroke behind second place.  CSU-Monterey Bay and Northeastern State trail Tarleton by six and seven strokes respectively, rounding out the top five.

Sharon Lau led all golfers with a 72 on the day and finished the first round atop the leaderboard.  Jessica Pickwick is tied for 17th (79), Jacqueline Lau is tied for 26th (80), and Katy Ward and Sarah Fulfer are both tied at 34th (81).

The final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
