LOUISVILLE, KY. - The TexAnn golf team moved up to sixth place after a productive third round at the NCAA Division II Championships Friday.

Tarleton shot a round of 309, which puts them at 669 overall in the tournament.  The TexAnns have to make up ground in the final round Saturday in order to break into the top five.

Katy Ward shot a 74 Friday, followed by Jacqueline Lau's 76 and Jessica Pickwick's 79.  Sharon Lau added an 80 and Sarah Fulfer shot a 90 to finish the day for the TexAnns.  Overall, Jacquline Lau and Sharon Lau are in the top 20 individuals.

Tarleton trails Grand Valley State and Barry by less than 10 strokes, while Nova Southeastern, Florida Southern and Grand Canyon make up the top three.

The final round will begin Saturday morning with the trophy ceremony taking place Saturday night in Louisville, Ky.
