STEPHENVILLE –
Tarleton junior Chase Rathke has arrived in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and will compete in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championship meet tomorrow.

AT A GLANCE:
Start time: Rathke, who is competing in the men's 800m run, will begin his preliminary race at approximately 4:35 p.m. EST / 3:35 p.m. CST.

LAST TIME OUT
Rathke is heading to the indoor nationals just a week after making his outdoor track and field debut at the Tarleton Invitational last week. The junior distance runner won the 1500m run in the outdoor meet at Memorial Stadium, as well as running a part of the men's Mile Relay.

MAKING TARLETON HISTORY
Rathke is the first Tarleton athlete to qualify for the NCAA Indoor National Championships. This is Tarleton's inaugural season as an indoor competitor since joining the NCAA in 1994-95.

HOW HE GOT HERE
Rathke hit his only NCAA provisional mark of the season on February 14 at the Texas Tech Open in the regular season finale. He finished first in the event with a time of 1:51.89, earning him a mark and eventually a berth in the finals.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Should Rathke qualify for the finals in the 800m run, he would compete in the finals Saturday March 15 at 5 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. CST.'
