In volleyball, Hardee was named TIAA Freshman of the Year in 1990 and District Most Valuable Player in 1992. She was named NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete in 1993 and was a GTE Academic All-District selection in 1993. She is still listed among the all-time statistical leaders in several categories in Tarleton volleyball. Hardee was an outstanding track athlete and set the school record for the shot put in 1994. She was a GTE Academic All-District honoree in track in 1993 and was selected as an All-American in 1994 and 1995.
