Bowen started all 26 games for the TexAnns in 1995-96 and averaged 18.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in addition to 66 assists and 57 steals. She followed that outstanding season with a 19.1 point and 7.1 rebound/game average in 1996-97 and recorded four double-doubles during that season, again starting all 26 games. She set a school single-game scoring record with a 49 point game against Whittier College in 1996 and holds the school record in career scoring average per game with18.7 points. She was the TexAnn’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and 1997 and was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Conference team in 1996-97
