Tarleton State University Athletics

Second team all-conference defensive end as a sophomore. First team all-conference and Tarleton’s most valuable defensive player as a junior. As a senior, he was first team all-conference, first team all-District 8, and honorable mention NAIA All-American. Received the Higgs Award for MVP in 1983. Had 19 sacks his senior year and accumulated 212 tackles during his playing career.
