Final Results

SAN ANGELO - Vanessa Elizondo turned in her second top-ten performance of the season as the TexAnn cross country team finished fourth at the Angelo State Blue & Gold Classic on Tuesday.

"I was proud of the way the girls competed this evening," head cross country coach Pat Ponder said.  "Now we will regroup and get ready for the conference meet coming up in the next few weeks."

Elizondo came in eighth-place overall, finishing the 5-kilometer course with a time of 21:11.00.  She was followed by Katherine Grillo (14th, 22:28.00), Sheila Bishop (16th, 22:45.00), Rhyland Pettinger (18th, 23:39.00), and Kyndall Trnka (19th, 23:51.00).

The TexAnns finished with 75 points overall.  ASU took the top spot tallying a total of 38 points.

Tarleton will will take the next week and a half to prepare for the Lone Star Conference Championships which is set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 24, in Canyon.
