AUSTIN - Tarleton senior Jamal Mays qualified for the 100-meter dash finals at the Texas Relays in Austin.
The dual-sport athlete finished third in his heat and ninth overall to qualify for Saturday's finals with a time of 10.72.
Also running at the meet Friday were Paige Klein in the 100m dash and Shelby Terry in the 100m hurdles. Klein finished third in her heat with a time of 12.55 while Terry ran her event in 15.43.
Nikki McNorton also wrapped up her time at the relays by finishing in a third place tie as she cleared a jump of 5' 7".
Mays joins Jeff Smith in Saturday's finals competition. Smith will compete in the 400m hurdles. For results, check back to TarletonSports.com.
