LAST TIME OUT

Tarleton traveled to Abilene Christian last weekend and won the series 2-1 over the Wildcats. The TexAnns dominated ACU for most of the weekend, but one troublesome inning stood between them and the sweep.

SERIES HISTORY

Tarleton and Cameron have met 21 times since the TexAnns began playing softball in 1996. The TexAnns and Aggies played four times in 1996 before going six years between games. Tarleton owns the all-time record 15-5-1 and are 4-1-1 all-time in Stephenville against the Aggies.

RODRIGUEZ BREAKS OUT VS AGGIES

Arianna Rodriguez recorded one hit against the Aggies in her first career game against Cameron in 2010. After recording just one more hit over the next five meetings (1-17), she broke out in a big way in the series finale last year by belting three solo home runs - becoming just the second player in school history with a three home run game (Brittnee Rice, 2009).

MAULDIN AGAINST CAMERON

Bailee Mauldin has record a hit in all three of her career games against Cameron, going 2-4 in the first two meetings and 1-3 in the last one. Against the Aggies, she is 5-11 for a .455 average.

PITCHING LEADS THE WAY

Tarleton's two-person rotation of Randi Fentress and Brenna Hennan have been spectacular for the TexAnns this season. After 30 games, Tarleton is fourth in the LSC in ERA (3.08) and has allowed the second fewest hits (202) in the conference. Fentress and Hennan are also third and fourth in the LSC in strikeouts with 84 and 83, respectively.

HITTING AT HOME

Tarleton hitting has feasting on visiting pitchers in the friendly confines of the Tarleton Softball Complex this season. The TexAnns are hitting .330 as a team at home, including three player hitting over .400 - Arianna Rodriguez (.469), Melody Mayse (.421) and Bailee Mauldin (.419).

HENNAN AT HOME

Brenna Hennan has been marvelous when pitching in Stephenville this season. The sophomore from Burkburnett is 6-0 with an 0.59 ERA in six appearances. In her five starts, she has thrown a complete game in all five and two shutouts. She leads the team in home innings pitched (35.1) allowing 30 hits - 25 singles - only three earned runs and 46 strikeouts compared to 11 walks.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON

The TexAnns will hit the road for a three-game series at Eastern New Mexico on April 5-6, beginning with a 2 p.m. doubleheader and ending with a 12 p.m. single game.
