SERIES HISTORYThe TexAnns and Pioneers have met 66 times since the inaugural meeting in 1997 with Tarleton holding the all-time series lead 42-24. After TWU took four of the first five games in 1997, the TexAnns dominated the series from 1998 to 2003 - winning 22 of the 26 meetings over that stretch and never losing back-to-back games to the Pioneers. Since the 2004 season, however, things have been relatively tight with Tarleton holding a slim 19-16 lead in the series. Tarleton is 17-9 all-time in Stephenville and all the career meetings have come under the tenure of head coach
Julie Mata.
HENNAN GOING STRONGDespite suffering a pair of tough-luck losses in her last two outings,
Brenna Hennan has been on a roll of late. The junior hurler from Burkburnett is 2-2 in Tarleton's last eight games is 2-2 with a sparkling 1.68 ERA and four complete games with two shutouts in 25.0 innings of work. She has also struck out 19 batters.

The Stephenville native has belted four home runs this season – including three in the last eight games – and 21 RBIs – eight of which have been in the last eight games - on the season.
