LAWTON, Okla. -- For the first time in program history, the TexAnns are the Lone Star Conference champion.

Needing one win to clinch the title outright, Tarleton swept Cameron on Saturday afternoon to go 15-1 in the LSC.

The TexAnns closed out the regular season with six straight wins and 15 in a row in conference to go 25-5 and set a new school record for wins in a season.
Â
Hailey Roberts posted a game-high 18 kills while adding 15 digs and four aces.
Kelsey Raglin had a double-double of her own with 11 kills and 11 digs.

Chandler Gow had 40 assists for the seventh time in nine games for the TexAnns. Gow has 1,256 assists on the season, only the second TexAnn to ever reach 1,200 in a single season (Christina Ortiz, 1,333).

Defensively,
Ayssa Garcia had a game-high 16 digs and a pair of aces.
Kenya Alexander had seven blocks and six kills.

In the opening set, the TexAnns trailed Cameron 3-7 before following with a 9-1 run that included two aces from Roberts to take a 12-8 lead. The Aggies got within one at 15-14, but three kills from Raglin in the next seven points pushed the TexAnns ahead for good in the set to win 25-17.

Tarleton started the second set on a 5-0 run with Alexander delivering a pair of kills for the early lead. Cameron eventually tied the score at 21, but Alexander's kill regained the lead for Tarleton at 22-21 and the senior followed with a block and the final kill of the set to win 25-22.

The TexAnns finished the match in dominating fashion by pulling ahead 7-2 to start the third and final set.
Xzache Mathis had five of her eight kills in the third set to help the TexAnns build a double-digit lead at 15-5. Tarleton closed the match on a 6-1 run, including Roberts' kill to win the match.

Tarleton will host the Lone Star Conference tournament at Wisdom Gym from Nov. 19-21 and will take on No. 8-seed Eastern New Mexico at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
