STEPHENVILLE – After making every effort to keep the games active, the conference-opening series between Tarleton State and West Texas A&M this weekend has been cancelled.
 
The softball doubleheaders, which were originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday then pushed to Saturday and Sunday and again to Sunday and Monday, will now not be played. Due to Lone Star Conference rules, no league games can be played after Monday nor can series be made up at a later date.
 
Tarleton State will open conference action on March 6-7 in Denton against Texas Woman's.
