The Games
 
After being pushed back to Sunday because of rain throughout the weekend, TexAnn Softball will resume Lone Star Conference play and host Midwestern State for a four-game series. Sunday's doubleheader starts at 3 p.m. and Monday's will start at 5 p.m.
 
The Opponent
 
Midwestern State comes to Stephenville with a 15-10 record and 2-6 in the Lone Star Conference. After a 10-game winning streak, the Mustangs have since dropped 6 of 8. Midwestern State is hitting .320 as a team with Katy Vandewater's .361 average leading the Mustangs. The Mustangs have hit 32 home runs on the season – second-most in the LSC. Midwestern State's 4.63 team ERA is sixth in conference, while opponents hit .294 off the Mustangs.
 
The Series
 
The TexAnns have lost the last 12 games against the Mustangs and 16 of 17. Tarleton State is 6-20 all-time against Midwestern State. The last TexAnn win came on April 3, 2011 when Tarleton won 2-1.
 
The Streak
 
Tarleton State is on a four-game winning streak after doubleheader sweeps of Texas A&M International and Texas – Permian Basin. During the TexAnns' streak, they have outscored opponents 33-4. Tarleton's longest streak of the year is five (Feb. 6-13).
 
Ace-like stuff
 
Since returning from injury, senior Brenna Hennan has a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings. Opponents have only scored one earned run off Hennan in her three appearances.
