THE GAMES
Tarleton Softball returns home for a four-game series with Texas A&M-Kingsville. Saturday's doubleheader starts at 4 p.m. and Sunday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.

THE OPPONENT
Kingsville comes in with a record of 14-22-1 on the season and is eighth in the Lone Star Conference with a 5-14-1 record. The Javelinas are 1-14 on the road in 2015. Kingsville is last in the LSC with a .286 team average and carries a 5.47 team ERA. Rachael Longoria's .383 batting average leads the team and is 1 of 3 Javelinas with a .300 average. Carlie Clark has a team-best 3.66 ERA and is 5-3 in the circle. Karri Smith has started 17 of 21 games in the circle for Kingsville and has a 5.77 ERA in 114 innings.

THE SERIES
The TexAnns lead the all-time series against Kingsville 40-29. Tarleton split the four games played in 2014, with three games coming on the road and one in a tournament. The TexAnns are 18-9 at home against the Javelinas, including wins in 8 of the last 9 at the Tarleton Softball Complex.

SENIOR NIGHT
Brenna Hennan is the lone senior on the TexAnns' roster and will be honored after Sunday's doubleheader. In her career, Hennan has appeared in over 60 games in her three-year career with the Purple and White. She has won over 25 games and struck out more than 200 batters. Sunday's post-series ceremony will also take place on Hennan's birthday.

BATTING CHAMP
Katelyn Conlee and Erika Menchaca sit atop the team leaders in batting average with Conlee hitting .386 and Menchaca right behind at .384. The TexAnns haven't had a player hit .400 in a season since Monica Garza did in 2004. Conlee's and Menchaca's averages would put them sixth and seventh, respectively, on Tarleton's single-season average list.

RUNNING HOME
Melody Mayse has scored 42 runs this season, ranking sixth in the Lone Star Conference. Mayse's 42 runs also put the junior outfielder in a four-way tie for fifth on the team's single-season list.

FANTASTIC FRESHMAN
Haley Freyman leads the Lone Star Conference in innings pitched with 156. Freyman's 16 wins ranks second behind West Texas A&M's Rita Hokiango (17) and is tied with A.J. Bristow's 2003 and 2004 marks for the seventh-most wins in a single season. Her next win will move her into a tie for the fifth-most in a single season with Jill Ratliff (2000) and Samantha Swanda (2012).

UP NEXT FOR THE TEXANNS
The TexAnns will close out the 2015 regular season with a trip to Portales, NM for a four-game series with Eastern New Mexico starting April 24.
