SAN ANGELO – Tarleton Volleyball's season came to an end with a 3-1 loss (25-20, 22-25, 17-25, 22-25) to No. 19 Metro State in the NCAA Regional semifinals on Friday in the Junell Center.

The TexAnns finished the season with a 27-7 record, matching last season's win total for the most wins in school history.

Tarleton won the opening set of the match, before Metro State (27-4) took the final three sets.

The opening set featured eight tied and five lead changes. Tarleton took a 12-9 lead in the set behind back-to-back service aces from
Alissa Johnson. It was two of four aces that the TexAnns had in the set, with
Michaela Rodriguez's ace giving Tarleton a 14-13 lead and
Jordyn Keamo giving them an 18-15 advantage. A kill from
Autumn Taylor gave Tarleton its biggest lead at 23-18 and a Metro State attack error end the set for Tarleton to win 25-20.

The TexAnns hit .302 with only three errors in the second set, but Metro State countered with a .409 hitting percentage and two errors. The set featured five ties and no lead changes as Metro State led throughout the set. The two teams were tied at 7-7 but the Roadrunners went on a 6-0 run to jump ahead. Taylor, Keamo and
Hannah McManus each had a kill to spark a 3-1 run but Metro State and Tarleton would split the next 12 points to keep it at a four-point Metro State lead.
Hailey Roberts delivered a kill to make it 21-18 and later 24-22 on kills from Rebecca Dauenhaur and
Elizabeth Muliaga before Metro State pulled away for the 25-22 win to even the set.

Metro State had runs of 6-1, 6-0, 5-0 to climb out to an 18-8 lead in the third set. Four straight kills from Taylor made it a 23-16 game, but the Roadrunners won the set 25-17 for a 2-1 lead.

Tarleton led 9-5 in the fourth set on
Chandler Gow's kill, but the Roadrunners came back with a 5-0 run for a 10-9 lead. Roberts had two straight points on kills for Tarleton that led to a 4-1 run to regain a 13-11 advantage. After the two teams were tied at 15-515, the Roadrunners had three straight errors and McManus delivered a kill for a 19-16 lead. But Metro State closed the match on a 9-3 run to move on to the regional championship.

Hailey Roberts finished the game with a 12 kills and had 608 kills on the season, ranking second all time in a season and the only player with two career 600-kill seasons.
Autumn Taylor matched Roberts with 12 kills in the match and had 271 kills on the season.
Hannah McManus' nine kills gave her a total of 232 this season.

Jordyn Keamo had 31 assists to give the junior setter 1,279 assists overall, which ranks third all-time in a single season. Keamo also had 71 service aces on the season, making her the third TexAnn to ever record 70 or more aces.

Adrianna Knutson finished with a team-high 25 digs and 575 digs on the season, ranking third on the all-time single-season digs list.
