THE GAMES
Tarleton will head to San Antonio and look its strength of schedule right in the eye, as the No. 10 TexAnns will take part in the NCAA Division II College Classic at St. Mary's this weekend.

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
Tarleton will play four of its five games on the main field of the Softball facility – only the second game against St. Edwards on Friday will take place on the secondary field. All fields will feature live stats, but only games on the main field will have a live video feed.

THE OPPOSITION
The TexAnns will play five games against four opponents who were right in the heat of the postseason battle or would have been barring its ineligibility due to a recent move to NCAA Division II.

Tarleton will begin against East Central, who won 34 games last season and advanced to its regional finals against Augustana. From there, the TexAnns will play two of its next three against St. Edward's, who finished the season in the top-10 rankings of the South Central region behind Tarleton. Tarleton is 6-4 all-time against East Central and 19-25 all-time against the Hilltoppers.

In between the games with the Hilltoppers, is a matchup with Lubbock Christian who is coming off a 36-win season and is 5-0 to begin the 2016 campaign. This is the first year LCU is eligible to compete for postseason play. Tarleton is 1-3 all-time against LCU.

Tarleton will wrap things up with a Saturday afternoon showdown with No. 12 St. Mary's in the first meeting between TexAnns and Rattlers since last season's Super Regional Series. Tarleton is 30-32 all-time against St. Mary's.

ANNUAL TRIP TO THE ALAMO CITY
This marks the ninth consecutive season that Tarleton has traveled to San Antonio for a St. Mary's-hosted tournament – going every year since 2008.

LAST TIME OUT
The No. 10-ranked team in the country wasted no time putting a pair in the win column Monday afternoon as the TexAnns scored 21 total runs in 13 innings to blast Texas A&M International in the season opener.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Tarleton senior outfielder Katelyn Conlee has been named to the top-50 watch list for the NCAA Division II National Player of the Year by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and Schutt.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will hit the road for another tournament against regional opposition next weekend when they go to Canyon for five games, including four against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents, at the West Texas A&M Invitational. That tournament begins Friday, February 12 at 11:30 a.m. against Metro State.
