THE GAMES
Tarleton is taking a one-day break from Lone Star Conference action with a road doubleheader at Texas-Permian Basin Tuesday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m.
Â
THE OPPONENT
Their final season in the Heartland Conference has not been one for the record books in Odessa as the Falcons, who are set to join the Lone Star Conference in the fall, are 5-24 on the season. However, Texas-Permian Basin has won three of their last five, including an 11-7 road win over Rogers State in game two of that Heartland Conference series. Tarleton is 9-0 all-time against Texas-Permian Basin, dating back to the inaugural meeting in 2010. The TexAnns swept the Falcons in the only previous doubleheader to be played in Odessa.
Â

Tarleton fell in three out of four on the road at Midwestern State despite 19 quality innings of work from
Haley Freyman in the pitching circle. Freyman threw 19 of the team's 25 total pitching innings for the series and boasted an ERA of 1.84, which included a three-hit shutout victory over the Mustangs in game one of the series.
