THE GAMES
Riding the momentum of a Tuesday afternoon sweep of Texas-Permian Basin, Tarleton will make its return to Stephenville this weekend for a four-game series with its conference rival, Angelo State, beginning Friday at 4 p.m.

CHANGE TO THE START TIME
The series was originally scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., but was moved up one hour in a mutual agreement between both teams earlier this week. The time change affects both days as Friday will now begin at 4 p.m. and Saturday's twin bill will begin at 1 p.m.

THE OPPONENT
Angelo State comes into the series with a record of 19-12 and an 8-8 mark in Lone Star Conference play, which includes a 2-8 mark over the last 10 league games. The Rambelles, who were ranked as high as No. 21 in the NABC national top-25 this month, are led at the plate by a pair of .400 hitters – Bailey Wallace (.408) and Kennedy Urbany (.402) – while Brandy Marlett leads from the circle with a 3.24 ERA.

THE SERIES
Tarleton and Angelo State have played 53 times since the series started in 2002, which was Angelo State's first season of college softball. The TexAnns trail the all-time series 15-38, but split the four-game series in San Angelo last season. Tarleton is 8-15 all-time against the Rambelles in Stephenville.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton is coming off a road doubleheader sweep of Texas-Permian Basin Tuesday afternoon. In game one, Tarleton slugged out 13 hits and scored 12 runs in the opening game of Tuesday's doubleheader to blast the Falcons. Shelby Hedrick turned in a masterful pitching performance in the second game and delivered her first career complete game shutout as the junior from Forney limited the Falcons to just two base hits and, with the help of a game-ending double play, faced just one batter over the minimum for the contest.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will have a second shot to host St. Edward's in a makeup game from a rainout earlier this month. Tarleton and the Hilltoppers were supposed to play on March 12, but rain forced a postponement. The rescheduled doubleheader is set for Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Stephenville.
