THE GAMES
Despite dancing all week with the weather forecast, Tarleton Softball is set to host Eastern New Mexico this weekend for the regular season finale beginning Friday at 5 p.m.

SENIOR DAY
Tarleton will recognize its five seniors – Rebeka Allen, Taylor Fitzgerald, Lauren Powers, Katelyn Conlee, and Melody Mayse – after the final out of Saturday afternoon's doubleheader.

THE TEXANNS
Tarleton enters the weekend with a record of 26-25 and a conference record of 9-19. The TexAnns will not advance to the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament, but are still alive in the national playoff hunt. Tarleton is the No. 10-ranked team in the South Central regional poll and are in search of the ninth 30-win season in school history.

THE OPPONENT
Eastern New Mexico enters the weekend with a record of 13-39 under first-year head coach Katie Welborn, who makes her first trip back to Stephenville as a coach. Welborn was an All-American player for the TexAnns from 2011-12. Susannah Chandler leads the Greyhounds at the plate with a .380 average.

THE SERIES
Tarleton and Eastern New Mexico have square off 71 times since the series began in 1997 and the TexAnns own the series with a 58-13 record. Tarleton is 32-3 against Eastern New Mexico in Stephenville and have won 10 straight in the series since 2013.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton is coming off a tough road trip to Kingsville, where the TexAnns lost three out of four. The lone win came to open Saturday's doubleheader when Tarleton went to extra innings for the second straight game, only this time Tarleton came out on top with three runs in the eighth inning for an 8-5 win.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will need to win their remaining games and get some help from around the conference before their fate is determined by the announcement of the NCAA national playoffs.
