THE SERIES
Tarleton hosts Cameron at the Tarleton Softball Complex for a four-game series. The TexAnns will play a pair of doubleheaders with Friday's games starting at 5 p.m. and Saturday's at 2 p.m.
 
THE TEXANNS
Tarleton enters the series with a 22-21 record and 5-15 in the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns trail Midwestern State by three games for the sixth and final playoff spot for the LSC Tournament. The TexAnns are 7-5 at home this season and have won four straight on their home turf. Nyka Wood and Katelyn Conlee are both hitting .362 on the year with Wood leading the team in home runs (6) and RBI (36). In the circle, Haley Freyman comes in with a 2.62 ERA and 99 strikeouts in an LSC-leading 184.1 innings. Freyman also leads the LSC in withs with 17.
 
THE OPPONENT
Cameron is 28-13 on the year and tied for second in the LSC with a 13-7 record. The Aggies are 7-7 on the road this season. Sonora Zukerman leads the Aggies' offense with a .426 average and Breezy McComas is right behind with a .414 average. Zukerman and McComas both have 10 home runs and 39 RBI on the year. Emily Wasinger leads the Aggies' pitching staff with a 2.76 ERA and a 15-4 record in 119.1 innings.
 
THE SERIES
The TexAnns are 23-10-1 all-time against Cameron since the series began in 1996. Tarleton is 8-4-1 at home against the Aggies. The TexAnns have won three straight against Cameron, with two coming on a neutral field and the other on the road. Tarleton hasn't played Cameron at home since 2014 where the teams split the four-game series.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton dropped three out of four games on the road at Texas A&M-Commerce. The TexAnns' lone win of the series came in game two thanks to Katelyn Conlee's three-run homer and Hayley Freyman's complete game that gave her 40 career wins.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns travel south to take on Texas A&M-Kingsville for a four-game series starting Friday, April 15 with the opener at 5 p.m. It's the final roadtrip of the season for Tarleton before returning home to play Eastern New Mexico on April 22 in the regular season series finale.
