STEPHENVILLE – Michael Simcho and Katelin Huckabee have been named the Lone Star Conference Runners of the Week after their performances at the Texas A&M Invitational.
 
Simcho had the top finish for the Texans, covering the 8,000-meter course in a time of 26:05.8 to place 56th in College Station, Texas. Simcho improved his time by 90 seconds from his season-opening meet. This is Simcho's first career LSC Runner of the Week award.
 
Huckabee was the top finisher for the TexAnns for the second consecutive meet, finishing the 6,000-meter course in 23:16.6 for 80th place. It's Huckabee's second LSC Runner of the Week award this season and third in her career.
 
The Texans and TexAnns will compete at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Oct. 1.
