THE GAMES
Tarleton will take a brief hiatus from Lone Star Conference play to play host to the No. 3 team in the nation when the TexAnns welcome St. Mary's to Stephenville for a 4 p.m. doubleheader Tuesday afternoon.

Tarleton enters the weekend with an overall record of 11-8 and a league mark of 3-3 under first year head coach

MILESTONE WATCH: NYKA WOOD
Just 19 games into her junior season,
Nyka Wood is already enjoying one of the finest careers in the history of TexAnn Softball. Wood has moved into the No. 3 spot all-time in career RBIs with 125, including 24 already this season. She is four RBI away from tying Alicia Petersma (129) from second place all-time and 25 RBI away from passing Arianna Rodriguez (149) for the all-time lead.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and St. Mary's have a rich history of softball that dates back to 1998. The TexAnns have won 31 of the 64 all-time meetings against the Rattlers. The TexAnns split two meetings with St. Mary's last season in San Antonio.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will return to Lone Star Conference this weekend when Tarleton hosts No. 7 West Texas A&M for the first time since sweeping the Lady Buffs in 2012. Tarleton will open the series with a 7 p.m. game Friday and a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.
