THE GAMES
After a brief two-game hiatus from Lone Star Conference action, Tarleton will get back to league play this weekend when the TexAnns journey north for a three-game series with Cameron on Friday and Saturday.
 
SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS
The series was originally slated with two games on Saturday but has since been changed due to impending weather. The TexAnns and Aggies will play at 12 p.m. in a Friday doubleheader before wrapping up with a 12 p.m. single game Saturday.
 
ABOUT THE TEAMS
Tarleton is coming off a week in which the TexAnns won five of seven against national top-25 teams, including a series win over No. 6 West Texas A&M and a sweep of No. 22 Lubbock Christian, to improve their record to 16-10 on the season. The TexAnns are hitting .329 as a team with a 2.34 team ERA, led by Haley Freyman's 1.95 ERA in 97.0 innings of work. Meanwhile, Cameron comes in receiving votes for the national top-25 poll with a record of 19-5 and an 8-1 mark in LSC play. The Aggies are hitting .312 as a unit while boasting a 4.14 ERA, primarily between Bethany Hines and Alyssa Osterdock.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and Cameron have met 38 times since Tarleton's inaugural season of softball in 1996 and the TexAnns hold a 26-11-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 6-3 mark all-time in Lawton. Tarleton has won seven of the last nine games against Cameron, dating back to the second game of a doubleheader on March 10, 2015.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will return home for a Monday afternoon doubleheader against Texas A&M International in Stephenville at 4 p.m. The twin bill was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. but has since been pushed back as a mutual decision between coaches.
