THE GAMES
Tarleton heads to Denton this weekend for three games against Texas Woman's as the TexAnns look to secure a 30-win season in the debut campaign for head coach Mark Cumpian. Tarleton will take the field Friday at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton is on the verge of delivering head coach Mark Cumpian a 30-win season in his first year as head coach. The TexAnns enter the series with an overall record of 29-14 and a Lone Star Conference record of 13-8, which currently has the TexAnns in fourth place in the league standings. Tarleton enters the weekend with a team batting average of .326 and a team ERA of 2.41.
 
ABOUT THE PIONEERS
Texas Woman's comes into the weekend boasting a 21-15 record, including a 9-8 mark in Lone Star Conference action. Texas Woman's is hitting .323 at a team, led by Nicole Nordie's .482 batting average. The Pioneer pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.52 this season.
