The TexAnns are back in the Lone Star Conference tournament and are set to open against Texas Woman's on Friday, May 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Mayer Field in San Angelo. With a win, Tarleton would advance to the semifinals Friday at 6:30 p.m. against Angelo State.

Tarleton is no stranger to the postseason. The TexAnns are tied for the Lone Star Conference lead in league tournament appearances, making their 15
th trip to the conference postseason and first since 2015.
ABOUT THE TEXANNS
Tarleton finished the season 35-19 overall and 18-12 in the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns are the No. 5 seed for the LSC tournament. Tarleton is 7-3 at a neutral site this season. The TexAnns ended the season on a four-game winning streak and have won five of the last six games. Tarleton hit .323 in the regular season and was led by
Nyka Wood's .394 average and tied the single-season RBI record with 58. The TexAnns have a team ERA of 2.62 and were led by
Haley Freyman's 17-8 record and
Jordan Withrow's 2.43 ERA.
ABOUT TEXAS WOMAN'S
TWU went 32-18 on the season and 18-11 in the LSC to earn the No. 4 seed. Texas Woman's enters the LSC tournament having lost its last two games. TWU is 7-4 on the year at a neutral site. The Pioneers hit .342 as a team and were led by Nicole Nordie's .470 average. TWU has a team ERA of 4.21, led by Abby Walker's 2.96 ERA.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton is 44-35 against TWU all-time since the series began back in 1997. Texas Woman's won all three games against the TexAnns this season in Denton. The TexAnns and Pioneers have met five times in the LSC Tournament and Tarleton has won two of those games.
