THE GAMES
Weather became an issue before the TexAnns even boarded the bus, but that won't deter Tarleton from starting Lone Star Conference play with a three-game series at Texas A&M-Commerce at Cain Family Field this weekend. The TexAnns will play a doubleheader Saturday at 2 p.m. before attempting to avoid any more weather and close out the series on Sunday at 1 p.m.

A LOOK AT LAST TIME OUT
The TexAnns swept a doubleheader against St. Edward's to continue their record-setting start to the season Wednesday afternoon. Tarleton won the first game 5-0 and the second game 8-4.
LSC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Withrow was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week after leading the TexAnns to two of their four wins at the St. Mary's College Classic in San Antonio last weekend. Withrow was stellar for the TexAnns in the pitching circle as the sophomore pitched Tarleton to wins over Texas Woman's and No. 22 St. Mary's. Withrow's weekend started with her first complete game shutout of the season as she blanked Texas Woman's for seven innings and struck out 12 Saturday.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and Texas A&M-Commerce have been regular rivals since the Lions started softball in 2015. Tarleton trails the all-time series 5-7 but won its last meeting 3-2 in Stephenville last February.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will make their much-anticipated home debut to close out the month of February when Tarleton welcomes Eastern New Mexico to town for a three-game series, beginning with a Friday night doubleheader at 5 p.m. and a Saturday finale at 12 p.m.
