THE GAMES
Riding the wave of a record-setting start to the season, the TexAnns will head to San Antonio this weekend for a five-game tournament at the annual St. Mary's College Classic. The TexAnns will open things up with a single game at 2:30 p.m. Friday against Fort Hays State. Tarleton will then turn around and play a doubleheader on Saturday in a non-conference game against Texas Woman's at 10 a.m. and California (Pa.) at 12:15 p.m. Tarleton will wrap things up with a 12:15 p.m. twin bill on Sunday with Regis and No. 22 St. Mary's.

There will be live stats available for all three games, courtesy of the home team. Links to live stats can be found at the links on the Game Day preview story and Game Day graphics on Tarleton's Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as on the team schedule page at TarletonSports.com.

A LOOK AT LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton swept the tournament field in Durant, Oklahoma as the TexAnns started the season 6-0 for just the third time in school history. The TexAnns were firing on all cylinders as the offense came out swinging to the tune of a .427 batting average and 10 home runs from nine different players. The TexAnn pitching staff boasted a 1.47 ERA in six games, led by a 0.00-ERA effort from senior
Haley Freyman in her first two starts of the season.
INSIDE THE SERIES: FORT HAYS STATE
Tarleton and Fort Hays State have five previous meetings in their history and the TexAnns have won all five games. The last game was an 8-0 Tarleton victory in 2012.
INSIDE THE SERIES: TEXAS WOMAN'S
Tarleton and Texas Woman's have a long history as Lone Star Conference rivals, even though Saturday's game in San Antonio will not count toward league standings. The TexAnns own a 44-37 all-time lead in the series. The Pioneers have won six of eight all-time games on a neutral site.
INSIDE THE SERIES: CALIFORNIA (PA)
Tarleton and California (Pa.) have met one time and the TexAnns shutout California (Pa.) 3-0 in an in-region tournament in Irving in 2000.
INSIDE THE SERIES: REGIS
Tarleton and Regis have met six times since the series started with the turn of the century. The TexAnns own a 4-2 record all-time against the Rangers and are looking for revenge from a 3-2 loss in last year's meeting.
INSIDE THE SERIES: #22 ST. MARY'S
Tarleton and St. Mary's have arguably the richest non-conference rivalry in history of the TexAnn Softball program. The teams have met 66 times since the first meeting in 1998 and the Rattlers hold a slim 34-32 edge in the series.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will head to Austin for a Valentine's Day doubleheader with St. Edward's on Wednesday before beginning Lone Star Conference action next weekend.
