AUSTIN – Less than 24 hours after taking care of Texas A&M-Kingsville in the Lone Star Conference opener in Stephenville, Tarleton turned around and headed to St. Edward's for a road match with the No. 17 Hilltoppers where the TexAnns fell 7-2.
"It's a tough turnaround to travel and play the No. 17 team in the country," said head coach
Lance Drake. "We started a little sluggish in the early going and almost clawed back but St. Edward's did a good job in their doubles. We competed hard to try to turn the momentum but couldn't get it rolling. St. Edward's played good tennis today and earned the win."
