STEPHENVILLE – No. 13 Tarleton cruised past UT Permian Basin in a clean sweep of Friday afternoon's Lone Star Conference opener.
The newly-ranked doubles pairing of
Alicia Barbaroux and
Neetika Sud got the afternoon started with a 6-3 doubles win. Tarleton only needed one more doubles win to secure the point, but Tarleton handled both pairings to sweep doubles play and head into singles with a 1-0 edge.
Nathalie Ulander got things started in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 dominating performance in the No. 5 position and the rest of the team followed suit with two-set victories to complete the sweep.
