Tarleton returns to Lone Star Conference action riding a six-game winning streak with a three-game series against MSU Texas at the Tarleton Softball Complex this weekend. The TexAnns will play a doubleheader with the Mustangs on Friday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., followed by the series finale on Saturday at 1 p.m.

CHASING THE HOME RUN RECORD
Georgia Capell has established herself as one of the elite power hitters in the country over her young career. The sophomore has already moved into sole possession of fourth place on the Tarleton home run list with 29 career long balls. She is two home runs away from moving into a three-way tie for second-most in program history with Samantha Swanda and Alicia Petersma (31).

CHASING THE QUEEN OF Ks
Jordan Withrow has moved into third place in Tarleton history in total strikeouts, becoming the third player in school history to strikeout over 400 batters in a career. She goes into the week with 463 career punchouts and is second in program history. Only Hall of Famer Carla Geeslin (521) has more career strikeouts.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton swept a road doubleheader with Texas A&M-International, outscoring the Dust Deviles 8-2 in the two games. Tarleton improved to 23-8 on the season with those wins.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Tarleton and MSU Texas have played 40 times in the series history that dates back to 2004 with the Mustangs leading the series 25-15. The TexAnns are 5-5 at home against the Mustangs, but have won four straight games and four out of five.
