The win also secured the series win for Tarleton.
Destiny Crumpley, who enjoyed her first career multi-home run game, put Tarleton on top with a three-run long ball in the opening frame to plate
Elizabeth Svienty and
Tanna Huie. That lead carried into the third when Tarleton tacked on one more with a two-out Greyhound error that allowed
Amanda Conner to cross the plate for a 4-0 lead.
In the fifth, Tarleton blasted off for three home runs while putting up a nine-spot to take a 13-0 lead.
Tarleton loaded the bases with one out before
Kaylee Rodriquez drove in the first run of the inning with an RBI single to center. Two batters later,
Georgia Capell unloaded the bases with a grand slam. After a single from
Tanna Huie. Crumpley teed off for her second long ball of the afternoon and then Conner capped off the inning with a two-run blast of her own to cap off the nine-run frame.
Capell's big blast was a milestone shot for the sophomore, who broke the single-season RBI record with the slam. Capell became the first TexAnn in program history to drive in 60 runs in a season, topping
Nyka Wood's previous record of 59 in a season.
Tristan Bridges worked around two base runners in the seventh to finish off the complete-game victory. Bridges threw all five innings and allowed no runs on two hits and three walks while striking out five.
Capell (2), Huie (2) and Crumpley (3) combined for seven of the team's 12 base hits in the two, three and four spots in the Tarleton lineup. Conner also enjoyed a two-hit game while
Karli Herron,
Morgan Ling and Rodriquez had one hit each.
Game 2: No. 22 Tarleton 4, Eastern New Mexico 0

Jordan Withrow kept the Greyhounds off the board for the second straight game to complete the sweep.
Karli Herron got Tarleton on the board first with a solo home run to lead off the second. Tarleton would tack on two more in the inning when
Morgan Ling drove in
Danyel Kesselus with an RBI double and then
Kadyn Kirkpatrick drove in Ling with an RBI single. Tarleton took a 3-0 lead after the top of the second.
Destiny Crumpley extended the lead out to 4-0 with a solo home run to lead off the third. It was Crumpley's third home run of the doubleheader.
Crumpley and Ling paced the offense with two hits each while Herron, Conner and Kirkpatrick had one hit each.
Jordan Withrow fired her third consecutive complete-game victory with seven innings of shutout ball. The newly crowned Tarleton strikeout queen added 10 more punchouts to her career totals. Withrow passed Carla Geeslin last night for the school strikeout record.
Tarleton will return home for the final series of the regular season next weekend. The TexAnns will host West Texas A&M in a three-game series, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. in Stephenville.
