STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton suffered a 5-2 loss to Angelo State in the regular season finale Saturday afternoon and will now turn their attention to the LSC Tournament Championship next week in Waco, where they are the No. 5 seed.
 
Tarleton is not ranked in the South Central regional rankings and will need to win the LSC Tournament title to continue their season beyond next weekend.
 
Sherine Salem and Faustine Palatte earned Tarleton's only doubles win of the day with a 6-1 rout in the No. 2 spot, but it wasn't enough to secure the point. In singles play, Tarleton earned wins in the No. 5 and 6 positions with Nathalie Ulander and Shelby Fillingame.
 
For Fillingame, it is a 6-3, 6-3 win in the final home match of her Tarleton career. She was recognized prior to the match on senior day.
