THE MATCHES
Tarleton Women's Tennis will travel to Florida for a four-match week over spring break. The Texans will begin the week in Orlando to play Lee University at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, before taking on No. 6 Saint Leo University in an 11 a.m. match Wednesday morning at Saint Leo Tennis complex. Tarleton will go up against No. 18 Florida Southern at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Wynee Warden Tennis Center in Lakeland. The Texans will play their first Lone Star Conference opponent of the season in a non-conference game at 5 p.m. on Friday at USTA National Training Center in Orlando.

ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton is 4-3 on the season, including 4-2 against NCAA Division II opponents. Tarleton is coming off a two-week break. In their last time out the Texans battled a 4-2 victory over Ouachita Baptist before falling 6-0 to Harding. Tarleton ended the weekend with a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Arkansas Tech.
Sophomore Faustine Palatte played a huge factor in the Texan's 2-1 weekend. Palatte started the weekend by winning the doubles point and handling a 6-1,6-0 win in the No. 4 singles flight against Ouachita Baptist to help Tarleton secure its first team win of the weekend. In the weekend finale, Palatte and doubles partner Alicia Barbaroux clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win against Arkansas Tech and then Palatte went on to extend the Tarleton's lead with a 6-3, 6-3 victory in singles action.
ELIANNE'S INSIGHT
"This week is going to be an immense test for us going up against two nationally ranked teams" said head coach Elianne Douglas-Miron. "It will be a great challenge for the girls as individuals to test their limits going up against multiple individually ranked opponents."

BARBAROUX RANKED BY ITA
Senior Alicia Barbaroux leads the group as the team's lone senior. The native of France is a two-time All-LSC and the 2018 LSC Player of the Year. She enters the season as the No. 35-ranked individual in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and has five career wins against nationally-ranked opponents. She is also ranked No. 3 in the South Central region.
