STEPHENVILLE – To play or not to play?
 
That's been the question surrounding Tarleton Softball all week long and the final verdict is – no games.
 
Due to concerns about travel in weather conditions, Tarleton and Northwestern State (La.) have mutually agreed to cancel their season-opening series in Natchitoches, Louisiana. After Abilene Christian cancelled their season-opening tournament on Monday afternoon, Tarleton agreed to join the Lady Demon tournament. After the other two competing schools opted out, the Texans and Lady Demons turned things into a three-game series, which has now been called off due to travel concerns in icy conditions.
 
Tarleton will look to make their season debut next weekend in Frisco in the North Texas Tracey Beard Classic.
