EDINBURG – Tied at 3-3 and the match hanging in the balance, Elsa Boisson stepped up in a big way to deliver a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 win over Gavi Kalaga and give Tarleton a 4-3 win over WAC rival New Mexico State Friday.
 
"What a match!" said head coach Elianne Miron, "We played a very competitive New Mexico State team and we battled across every court. After losing the doubles point, we knew it would be a tight match.
 
"Rose stepped up big in singles," she added. "She really took care of business. Martha and Celia played aggressive from the first ball. The match came down to Elsa. She was aggressive and really went after it. She never let it go. She competed like a champ and I could not be more proud of this great team win."
