Texan Softball set for WAC home opener series with UT Arlington Friday-Saturday

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – After opening conference play at Utah Valley last weekend, the Texans return home for a three-game series with UT Arlington.

The three-game slate will get started on Friday with a matchup at 6:30 p.m. Games 2 and 3 are set for a 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. start on Saturday.

The Texans lead the all-time series with the Mavericks of UT Arlington 3-0 after securing 10-7, 6-5, 4-3 wins all in Arlington last season. The 4-3 win clinched the Texans first WAC Softball Tournament appearance in their first year of tournament eligibility.

The last time Tarleton State was in action, the Purple and White fell victim to Utah Valley as the Wolverines swept the series that saw a combined 45 runs on 64 hits.

The last time out for the Mavericks saw them fall to No.1 Oklahoma 12-1 on Wednesday in Norman. The Texans took on No. 1 Oklahoma in a doubleheader on March 12 and held the Sooners scoreless for three innings in Game 1.

All games will be broadcast starting with the Friday matchup being streamed live on WAC International followed by the Saturday doubleheader being broadcast live on ESPN+. Live stats will be available for all three games as well.
