STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Athletics has hired
Daniel Wines as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations, the Texans announced on Friday.
Wines joins Tarleton State from New Mexico, where he was Associate Athletic Director for Event Management. He also spent several years in the athletics departments at Utah Tech, Arizona State, California State Bakersfield and LSU.

Steve Uryasz said. "Daniel impressed us with his detailed knowledge of collegiate athletics operations and his desire to further elevate Tarleton State Athletics."
Wines will oversee the day-to-day operation of Tarleton State's athletic facilities, plus will serve as the game administrator for Texan Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Baseball games. He'll also have direct oversite of managing all other teams' home competitions.

Wines spent the past two years at New Mexico as an Associate AD, where he had oversight of all athletic and special events that took place in UNM athletic facilities, including serving as tournament director for all postseason championship events. He also oversaw UNM's event staff from parking management to stadium ushers to volunteers at various golf tournaments hosted by UNM.
Wines other stops and titles include Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Events, Game Operations and Facilities at Utah Tech for two years, Event Coordinator at Arizona State for three years, Facilities and Events Coordinator at California State University Bakersfield for two years, Operations Assistant at LSU for one year and a training camp assistant with the New Orleans Saints.
Wines, a Stateline, Nevada native, graduated from UNLV in 2008.
