The Texans traveled to Corpus Christi to compete in the 2025 Islander Classic, finishing the weekend 1-1.
 Tarleton State opened the weekend against the host, TAMU-CC. The Texans posted a 35 kills, 10 blocks, and 33 assistsÂ
Tarleton State won 3-2 against Sam Houston to close out their play in the Islander Classic. The Texans totaled 53 kills, 14 blocks, 49 assists, and five service aces.Â
 Madison Frank and Megan Hodges were selected for the Islander Classic All-Tournament team. Frank totaled 21 kills over the weekend and Hodges totaled 38 assists.
 Morgan Carter has established herself in the libero role for the Texans. She posted 24 digs against Sam Houston.Â
  Alyssa Dinh totaled 11 kills against Sam Houston, a career-high for the redshirt freshman.
 Emma Burke totaled 14 blocks over the weekend, leading the team for the weekend. She currently leads the team in total blocks with 34 blocks.
  First-year head coach Jazymne Johnson collected her first collegiate win with a sweep in the season opener. She is one of 25 first-year head coaches in the nation this season and one of 11 to record   Tarleton State will face SFA for the first time since 2023.Â
