 The Texan Classic is the tournament Tarleton State will host before starting conference play 
 
 Tarleton State hit the road for their last match to face SFA. The Texans posted 40 kills, 4 blocks, and 37 assists 

 LaNeah Lara and Emma Burke led the Texan attack against the LadyJacks with 8 kills each. Madison Rice-Lockett and Alyssa Dinh also totaled 7 kills. Dinh hit a .875 in Nacogdoches. 

  Tarleton State competed in the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi where the went 1-1. . The Texans totaled 53 kills, 14 blocks, 49 assists, and five service aces over the weekend.  

    Madison Frank and Megan Hodges were selected for the Islander Classic All-Tournament team. Frank totaled 21 kills over the weekend and Hodges totaled 38 assists.

  Morgan Carter has established herself in the libero role for the Texans. Leading the Texan defense, she posted 24 digs in their match against Sam Houston. 

   Victoria Fontenot leads the serve game for the Texans with 13 service aces. 

  Emma Burke totaled 14 blocks over the weekend at the Islander Classic, leading the team for the weekend and overall. She currently leads the team in total blocks with 43 blocks.

   First-year head coach Jazymne Johnson collected her first collegiate win with a sweep in the season opener. She is one of 25 first-year head coaches in the nation this season and one of 11 to record a winning record in the first weekend.

  Tarleton State will face each tournament opponent for the second time this weekend. The Texans are 1-0 against UAPB and LA Tech, with their last meetings in 2023 and 2021.
