STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Beach Volleyball's third season in program history is underway, and the Texans will play at home in the regular season for just the second time, the first time since their inaugural 2024 campaign.
The Texans (0-4) will take on Concordia (0-2) on Wednesday in a doubleheader at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Tarleton State Beach Volleyball Courts. Tarleton State Beach Volleyball last played at home on March 22, 2024, in a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Texans lost 4-1 in each of those matches.
Much has changed for Tarleton State since that last home match, with nearly double a roster size and with just one student-athlete still on the squad from that 2024 season (
Allison Bryant). Bryant has played every match at the No. 1 court in program history, this year paired with
Candace Ceballos in the opening weekend. That will be the same plan on Wednesday, with head coach
Dayna Masters releasing her scheduled pairs for the doubleheader.
On Court 1 across both matches will be Bryant and Ceballos, who went 1-3 on the opening weekend with a win against Saint Mary's. On Court 2 in both matches will be
Hayden Huber and
Bella Parayno, who just had the best weekend in Tarleton State's opening matches, going 2-2, with wins over Houston Christian and Saint Mary's.
On Court 3 in the morning match will be
Taylor Orris and
Emily Vickers, who played together on Court 4 this past weekend, defeating Southern Mississippi's Court 4 pair. In the afternoon, Chrisitan Mitchell and
Salome Galvez Lira will play on Court 3. Mitchell played with
Camilla Chun on Court 3 in four matches this past weekend, while Galvez Lira will be making her Texan debut.
On Court 4 in the morning match will be Mitchell and Chun, followed by Orris and Vickers in the afternoon. On Court 5 in the morning will be
Angelina Linke and
Sofia Bendele, followed by Chun and
Theresa Habrik in the afternoon.
The Texans are in search of their first win of the 2026 campaign and in their first home win in program history. Wednesday's matches will not be broadcast and live scoring will not be available. Wednesday's matches are free to attend for all.
