STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The previously scheduled game between Tarleton State Softball and No. 2 Texas Tech on Tuesday has been rescheduled to March 25 due to impending inclement weather, the Texans announced on Monday.
There will be no game Tuesday at the Tarleton State Softball Complex, and the Texans will instead host the Red Raiders on March 25 at 4 p.m. Previously purchased tickets will still be good for the March 25 game. Fans who would like to contact the Tarleton State Athletics Ticket Office with questions should call 254-968-1832.
Also announced on Monday, Tarleton State has added a home game against Rhode Island to make up for a previously canceled game in San Marcos, Texas. The Texans will now host a four-game series against Rhode Island on March 20-21, with a doubleheader each day. Game times are scheduled for 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on March 20, and 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on March 21. Previously it was a scheduled three-game series, with a single game on March 20 at 6 p.m.
Finally, Tarleton State's road game at Texas Tech has been altered. The Texans will head to Lubbock to take on the Red Raiders on Tuesday, April 28 at 6 p.m., instead of playing on March 24.
The Texans are 16-9 overall this season, with their final tournament scheduled this weekend in North Carolina. Tarleton State will begin its five-game slate against Lehigh on Friday at 11:30 a.m. CT.
