On Friday, Tarleton State will open with its second match of the year against ULM. The Texans and Warhawks squared off in Monroe, Louisiana, on March 14, with ULM winning 3-2. In that match, Tarleton State won on Courts 2 and 3, with
Allison Bryant and
Candace Ceballos defeating Paige Ingersoll and Izabela Zukowska 21-10 19-21 15-6, then
Camilla Chun and
Emily Vickers beat Samantha Rodriguez and Avery Hunter 16-21 21-19 15-10. ULM narrowly pulled out a 15-12 third set win on Court 5 to win the team match.
Tarleton State is 0-2 all-time against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, playing last year at the Islanders and in Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 2024. The Islanders won 5-0 in each of the past two matches.
The Texans have never faced Pepperdine, and they'll take on CSU Bakersfield for the second time in series history. CSU Bakersfield won last year's meeting in Long Beach, California, 3-2 on March 16.
This year, the Texans have been led by Bryant and Ceballos, 8-10 together overall between Courts 1 and 2.
Hayden Huber and
Bella Parayno have the second most wins as a pair at 7-9, with
Sofia Bendele and
Angelina Linke just behind them at 6-9.
Salome Galvez Lira and
Taylor Orris have the best winning percentage on the team at .500 (3-3), all matches played on Court 4 together.
Each Tarleton State match Friday-Saturday will have live scoring.
