Stephenville, Texas – The Tarleton State Women's Tennis Team will hit the road starting later this month for the fall 2026 schedule. 
 
Tarleton State will travel to Louisiana, New York, Texas and Tennessee to face its opposition in the fall. The Texans will also compete in the first-ever United Athletic Conference Fall Individual Championship Oct. 23-25 in Clarksville, Tennessee.
 
Starting, Sept. 11 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the Texans will compete against McNeese among other schools in the Cowgirl invite. The Cowgirls coaching staff is no stranger to the Texans. Head coach Sonia Carlson was once Tarleton State's assistant coach, and former player Noelia Lorca who is now McNeese's assistant coach.
 
After the event in Louisiana, the Texans will head to Abilene to face the Wildcats and other schools in the ACU invite starting Sept. 18. The Texans regional and conference rivals recently made the jump to the UAC at the same time as Tarleton State, keeping the conference rivalry alive.
 
Following the event in Abilene, Tarleton State will head to New York City to compete in the Fordham Four Invite. It is the first time the Texans will travel to New York for a fall tournament. Fordham finished their 2025-26 season 15-10 with an 8-0 home record.  
 
After the event in New York, the ITA Texas Regional Championships begin Oct. 8 at Baylor in Waco, Texas. Last season, the Texans saw success with a program record four competitors making the singles main draw. The Texans had three players punch their ticket into the main draw from qualifying in last year's event. 
 
Following Waco, Tarleton State will head to Clarksville, Tennessee, for the first UAC Fall Individual Championship beginning Oct. 23, where notable players found success last season in the Western Athletic Conference event. WAC Player of the Year Maria Castano took a singles crown, which led to the program having back-to-back individual titles. Castano also took home a doubles title with WAC Freshman of the Year Aya Ishii, marking the first sweep of fall titles in program history. The winner of the UAC Fall Individual Championship will earn an automatic bid to the ITA Conference Masters Championship in Rome, Georiga, Nov. 5-8. 

The Texans will finish out the season against Texas State in San Marcos Nov. 7-8. 
 
Head Coach Elianne Douglas-Miron will enter her eighth season with the Texans, her seventh as head coach. After the success of the 2025-2026 season, Douglas-Miron was named WAC Coach of the Year, her career second coach of the year award. Douglas-Miron has been pivotal to the Texans, holding an 83-39 record for the team taking them to their first NCAA tournament last season.
